Wisconsin Rugby Football Union (WRFU)

Marquette is a member of the WRFU.
WRFU has arguably the best teams in the Midwest area with more bids in the Midwest playoffs than any other state.

6-3 First winning season in at least four years, won Halloween Tournament
1995 8-2 Only losses were to Appleton Men's Club and Loyola University
1995 6-0 In Wisconsin's Second Tier, no Wisconsin school scored on us that fall
1996 8-2 Wisconsin Union Champions, only losses to UW-Stevens Point and to UW-Eau Claire in the first round of the Midwest Playoffs, won the consolation match against St. Cloud State University, first win over UW-Madison in recent memory.
1997 8-2 At-Large bid to the Midwest tournament, only losses to UW-Madison and Bowling Green State University in the first round of the Midwest, won the consolation match against Central Michigan.
1998 8-2 Wisconsin Union Champions, only losses to UW-Platteville and to Indiana University. Win our first round match against Northwestern, and lose to IU in the final eight.
1999 9-1 Undefeated Wisconsin Union Champions, win our first round match against the University of Michigan, but lose to Bowling Green in a heartbreaker 28-27
2000   Only private university to qualify for D-1 play, and if I am correct, then only one to ever take part in D-1until Notre Dame was selected to play in the new D-1 league.
